ABOUT ME
Being born and raised on the South-side of Chicago, I grew up a Blackhawks and White Sox fan. You can see from my 13-month old picture, that I was destined to play goal. Had I realized my destiny earlier than 16, I may have progressed further than the local men’s league. Regardless, I love the game of hockey and can ususally be found filling my free time with some hockey-related activity.
My second love is art. From the time I was little, I was always sketching, doodling and painting. After graduating from Marist High School, I decided to try and make a living at the subject I loved. In 1995 I received my BS in Graphic Design from Bradley University in Peoria, IL. I was on my way to reaching my goal.
Since college, I have worked at some aspect of graphics design with employers and clients including the Chicago Wolves, Chicago Bears, Chicago Storm, USPV Women's Volleyball and Chicagoland Speedway. From packaging design, premium items, ticket stock, custom jerseys, large format trade show murals, vinyl lettering, printed materials, T-shirts and outdoor signage, I have tried to learn as much as I can.
Along with hockey and the study of art, music has always moved me. However, accumulating all of my art supplies and expensive goal tending equiptment drove my parents crazy. Enjoying their insanity, I took up drums, and played in a band for a few years. Soon my talent in art spilled onto my hobbies, and it was only natural for me to start painting drum heads and goalie masks.
These are my devotions. Playing drums, tending goal, and designing make me feel alive everyone should be so fortunate to fill their life with their true passions.
